Focusing on Christian Syria

Day 1
Arrival at Damascus airport - meet & transfer to the hotel - dinner & o/n
Day 2
Full day Damascus city tour including : the House of St. Anania, the Window of St. Paul, the St. Touma Gate, the Greek Orthodox Patriarchies.
After lunch a visit to the St. John Tomb inside the Omayyad Mosque, and the famous Oriental bazaars of Damascus, back to the hotel, dinner & overnight.
Day 3
After breakfast drive to Al-Nabek region near Damascus to visit the early Christian Convent of Mar Mousa, proceed to Seydnaya to visit the convent of our Lady then to Maalula where people still speak Aramaic (the language of the Christ), visit of the convent of Mar Sarkis & the Monastery of Mar Takla. Continuation to Homs for dinner & overnight
Day 4
After breakfast: we will visit the Um-Azzunar Church where a belt belonging to the St. Virgin is exposed. Continuation to the Crac des Chevalier to visit this important medieval castle dating back to the Crusaders time, proceed to visit the Greek Orthodox convent of St. George dating back to the 15th century, dinner & overnight in Al-Meshtaya Region.
Day 5
After breakfast drive to Aleppo, the first visit will include : the Christian Quarter & the Citadel, the Greek Orthodox Patriarchy back to the hotel, dinner & overnight
Day 6
Early morning : excursion in the Byzantine sites of St. Simeon, Qalb Loze & Kirk Bizeh, back to Aleppo free time in Aleppo's famous Oriental Bazaars, dinner & overnight.
Day 7
After breakfast drive to Palmyra to visit this important Greco-Roman site : the Temples, the Colonnaded street, the Theater, dinner at the Beduin Corner & overnight in the hotel.
Day 8
Continuation of Palmyra sightseeing : the Museum, the Necropolis. PM : Drive to Damascus, visit to mount Kassioun for a panoramic view of Damascus, farwell dinner & overnight in the hotel.
Day 9
Transfer to the airport for departure.
